Launching Ceremony of "Online Benchmarking Tool"

The launching ceremony of Online Building Based Electricity Utilization Index Benchmarking Tool (hereinafter referred to as “Online benchmarking tool”) was held on 17 June 2022. By enhancing the transparency of data and benchmarks, it can mobilise the community to take cooperative participation in energy saving. Online benchmarking tool is provided by EMSD which allows users to unveil energy saving opportunities through comparing and reviewing the annual overall electricity utilisation performance of commercial buildings. The tool also provides general advice for building. In the launching ceremony, the Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services, Mr Pang Yiu Hung, called on the community and the public to make the most of the Online benchmarking tool, and to support low-carbon transformation through proactive actions in energy saving and decarbonisation, with a view to for striving towards the target of achieving carbon neutrality.
